Mets Designate Schmoll

The Mets have designated RHP Steve Schmoll for assignment to make room on the 40–man roster for RHP Marcos Carvajal, who they picked up on waivers yesterday.

The Mets have 10 days to trade Schmoll, send him to the minors or release him.

The Mets acquired Schmoll last off-season along with RHP Duaner Sanchez in exchange for RHP Jeo Seo and LHP Tim Hamulak.
