The who, what, when and why

Marty Noble at Mets.com, writes about all the information for the Mets Spring Training that kicks off on the 16th:

For the first time since 1988 -- the same year the Mets moved their Spring Training home to Port St. Lucie -- the Mets head to camp as the reigning National League East champions.
As Mets fans prepare to escape the chill of the Big Apple for a trip to the Treasure Coast of Florida, we offer some logistical advice.

When do the Mets arrive at camp? Pitchers and catchers report to Port St. Lucie on Feb. 16. Full-squad workouts get under way Feb. 21.

When do games start? The Mets' Grapefruit League season begins with a matchup that was nearly 2006 World Series, when they host the AL champion Tigers on Feb. 28.

How do I get tickets? Tickets for all Mets Spring Training games at Tradition Field can be purchased at the Mets' Spring Training Tickets page.

Where can I get autographs? There's an area not far from the northwest corner of the parking lot and close to where the pitchers throw early in Spring Training. Players often sign there and by the fences of fields on which they practice. The areas separating the fields in the quadrangle near the Minor League complex is another prime area for autographs while the Major League players are using those fields.
