Ledee signs with A's
Melissa Lockard at Scout.com, reports that Rickey Ledee has signed a minor league contract with the Oakland Athletics:
The Oakland A's have signed long-time veteran Ricky Ledee to a minor league contract to compete with Hiram Bocachica, Ryan Goleski and Charles Thomas for the fifth outfielder's spot on the A's 25-man roster. Ledee spent time in the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations last season.
Ledee at one time was a coveted prospect in the New York Yankees chain. However, he has never lived up to that top prospect billing during his 10-year major league career. The left-handed hitting outfielder has played for the Yankees, Cleveland, Texas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, the Mets and the Dodgers during his career.
