From Minaya's press confrence

John Delcos at Lo Hud, writes about the press confrence Omar Minaya had in Ghana:

"The New York Mets have a world vision," Minaya said. "We will be in Latin America, we will be in Asia, and we will be in Africa."

Ghana's sport is soccer, but Minaya said "athletes are athletes ... all they need is coaching."
Perhaps in five years there will be a baseball academy in that county. In 10, maybe somebody will get to the minors."

In the interim?

"I hope I see plenty of Mets caps and T-Shirts," Minaya said.
