Is This A Trap Series?

The Washington Nationals are sandwiched in between two series with the Phillies. That’s when a team like the Mets can be vulnerable. Willie Randolph said at the start of the season he liked the first three series because the Mets would be tested against the best competition.

The Nationals aren’t the best. They are the kind of team the Mets need to beat up on. With close to 20 games each against the Nationals, whoever among the Mets, Braves and Phillies does the best could determine the division.
