The Mets To Trade Sosa?

Ed Ryan At Mets Fever (Shea Nation Network), writes about the most recent trade rumor involving Jorge Sosa:

When a rumor persists it is usually for one of two reasons; It's true and the teams are using the media to negotiate or the seller is using the other club, who may have shown some early interest to raise the value of the player. Since spring training when it was discovered that Sanchez would miss most of season with elbow surgery we have been hearing about a Mets/Baltimore trade. In today's Baltimore Sun again the rumors swirl about the Mets interest in Todd Williams. Williams is in Norfolk and I'm sure Omar still has connections there to see if he's worth it. It was rumored that the Mets dangled Jorge Sosa in the trade but he just had a great start for the Zeph's and maybe off the table.

The source also said that two or three teams, including the New York Mets, have mild interest in Williams, but only if the Orioles wanted to get rid of the reliever as a salary dump. The Orioles are not interested in doing that at this point because they still feel that Williams, who has been shut down for a couple of days at Triple-A Norfolk because of cracked skin on a finger on his throwing hand, could help them at some point this season.
