A Look At Today's Game

Anthony Di Como at Mets.com, writes about today's game and gives a preview of the pitching match up:

And just like that, David Wright is back on track.

The slumping third baseman pounded out three hits Tuesday night, including his first home run since last September, to bust out of a slump that had been freezing the heart of the lineup for weeks.

"It's heading in the right direction," Wright said. "It's something that you can take some positives out of into tomorrow."
LHP Oliver Perez

(2-2, 3.86 ERA)In 11 starts with the Mets over two seasons, Perez has three victories -- all against the Braves. Perez faced the Marlins twice last season, finishing 0-1 with a 6.10 ERA, though he did rack up 17 strikeouts in just 10 1/3 innings.

RHP Anibal Sanchez

(2-0, 4.39 ERA)Sanchez can be a bit of a split personality. Right-handed hitters are batting .365 against Sanchez, while left-handed batters hit .288. He has a 4-2 record in 12 career starts on the road, and an 8-1 record in 10 career
starts in Miami.
