Player Update: Moises Alou

Michael Morrissey at The New York Post, writes about Moises Alou and why a trip to the DL is likely:

Alou said the MRI showed bleeding in the quad, and the Met outfielder knows he's probably making his 15th trip to the DL if things don't turn around quickly in the next day or two.

"I don't feel very good right now," he said. "I'm not very optimistic about it. How long? I'm not going to come back any time soon."

Alou woke up in discomfort, but he and the Mets want to wait another day or two to see how it responds to treatment. Before the game, Willie Randolph said Alou would probably not be available to pinch-hit in the 9-1 victory over Milwaukee.
