Can We Count On Alou?

John Delcos at Lo Hud, writes about Moises Alou and if the Mets can count on him:

Most teams, especially the Mets, don’t like painting a negative picture when it comes to injuries. So, when Willie Randolph said “things aren’t getting any better,’’ when talking about Moises Alou, that’s something that shouldn’t be ignored.

In answer to my own question, I’m not. Alou has already missed about month and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Mets won’t see him until after the All-Star break. This puts Omar Minaya in position where he might have to think about shopping for an outfielder at the trade deadline.
