Maine To Try To Stop Skid

When Jorge Sosa took on and shut down the Tigers 3-0, I thought that his effort was going to stop whatever bleeding the Mets were going through. I guess I was wrong. The Mets have lost three games in a row since then.

So now in the second game of the three game series, John Maine will hope to help the Mets pull off an almost similar feat, but this time get them completely out of it.

The Mets are going up against left hander Hong-Chih Kuo. If you remember Kuo, he was the rookie pitcher the Dodgers threw at the Mets in the NLDS last year. He gave up 2 earned runs in 4.1 innings.

Maybe with a little luck and a lot of ball mashing, the Mets can finally keep their heads above water.
