Game Recap:: Dodgers 5 -- Mets 3

I stayed up for that?!

Ugh! The Mets dropped another one, blowing an early 3 run lead, and losing to the Dodgers 5-3. El Duque had his second true "bad" start tonight, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs in 5 and 2/3 of an inning. Duque walked 3 and struck out 4.

...what is wrong with us?...

Scott Schoeneweis and Guillermo Mota combined to pitch one inning, allowing one hit. Pedro Feliciano finished out the game, striking out 2 in 1 and 1/3 of an inning.

...the bullpen didn't give up any runs? i can't tell if i'm just sleepy or if i'm in shock!...

The Mets picked up hit after hit, but couldn't drive in the runs, as they left tons of players on the bases. Jose Reyes went 1-4 with a run scored. Shawn Green, in his first game back, went 2-4 with a run and an RBI.

...welcome back Greenie!...

The 3-8 batters all picked up a hit as well, with Carlos Delgado scoring one run out of the bunch when Carlos Gomez knocked a single to right in the fourth inning to bring him home.

...i fell asleep for the end of the game, and i just woke up! i didn't miss much!...

Game Ball:: Shawn Green, broken foot and all.
