In Need Of A Wake-Up
John Delcos at Lo Hud, writes about the Mets and how they need to be woken up:
Sometimes wake-up calls come in the form of a well-pitched game, but the Mets got that Friday in Detroit from Jorge Sosa. Sometimes it comes in the form of scoring a bunch of runs.
Apparently, scoring seven Saturday and Sunday didn’t do it, either.
All teams go through bad stretches where things don’t go right, and the stretch is now 10 games for the Mets.
I can’t stress this enough, but the Mets are in the toughest part of their schedule. We all know what the objective is with this team, and we know if they are to get there they must beat the teams they are playing now.
I know there’s plenty of time left, but it isn’t too soon to start to wonder.
