Needing To Refocus

The Mets need to turn a dismal month into, the best scenario, a five hundred month.

So far this month the Mets have been out scored thirty eight to sixty four, lost ten of twelve games and their lead has shrunken from four and a half games, down to two. Thank the baseball Gods that the Braves haven’t had much better luck this month, but the Phillies are coming on strong.

The Mets now have to face the Yankees in the Bronx and the Athletics and Twins at home. This doesn’t look to be any easier than the last three series.

They just need to sit back, take a breath and focus. Hopefully, that’s just what they’re going to do with today’s day off.
