Game Recap:: Rockies 6 -- Mets 2
Can we just forget about the bottom of the third...??
Tom Glavine pitched pretty well, except for a 6-run third inning. The Rockies won the opener of the series by a scored of 6-2. Glavine pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits, 6 of them in that one inning. He allowed 6 earned runs to score, half of them coming on a 3-run home run off the bat of Matt Holliday.
...not bad besides that disaster of an inning...
Joe Smith pitched the 2 innings of scoreless and hitless baseball. Smith only walked one, and did not strike out any.
...back on track for The Man!...
Jose Reyes went 1-4, scoring one run tonight.
Carlos Beltran picked up an RBI, but went 0-4 in tonights game.
David Wright went 2-4, with a double tonight.
Shawn Green matched that, also going 2-4 with a double.
Carlos Gomez picked up a hit, going 1-4.
...what happened to our offense...especially in this hitters park...
Ruben Gotay went 1-2, coming in on a double switch, and scoring the other Mets run.
...he should play every day...i'm not Willie, but c'mon!!! Gotay, Reyes, Wright!...that is a super defense...
