Mets Close To Castillo

Matthew Cerrone at Mets Blog writes about the Mets getting close to acquiring Louis Castillo:

The Mets are close to acquiring Twins 2B Luis Castillo for two minor leaguers, according to FOXSports.com.

Castillo will earn $5.75 million this season, and will be a free agent at the end of this season.

In 263 at-bats against right-handed pitchers, the 31–year-old Castillo is batting .312, while batting .279 against lefties in just 86 at-bats.
