Rangers Ask Gomez For Gagne
Jon Heyman at SI writes about the Rangers asking for Carlos Gomez in return for Eric Gagne:
The Red Sox are said to be leading at least a three-team race for star Rangers closer Eric Gagne, but Texas is remaining noncommittal about whether they'll trade Gagne at all.
From the Mets, they've requested outfielder Carlos Gomez, who's rumored to be Omar Minaya's personal favorite. No shot there.
