Game Recap:: Marlins 4 -- Mets 3

Well...he was bound to lose a game sometime...

The Mets were pretty much shut out by Daniel Barone and other Marlin pitchers. Barone was making his first MLB start. The Mets managed 7 hits but only 3 runs as they lost to the Marlins 4-3. Billy Wagner blew only his second save this season, allowing 2 runs to score in the top of the 9th inning.

Brian Lawrence looked like he was in for a terrible night, giving up runs in the first and second, but settled in and went 6 strong, allowing 8 hits and only 2 earned runs. He walked 3 and struck out 6.

...another quality start from Lawrence...not bad...not bad at all...

Jorge Sosa pitched 2 hitless and scoreless innings, striking out 1.

...wow, he has just been amazing in the pen...

Billy Wagner, as mentioned earlier, gave up a 2 run double in only his second blown save this year.
...ughhhhhhh...

Carlos Beltran was the only highlight of the Mets offense, knocking a 3-run blast in the bottom of the 5th inning.

...that was a shot...
...good to see him swining the bat hard so the abs are healed!...

...Tough loss...
