Game Recap:: Mets 9 -- Marlins 6

So tired...but so happy!...CONGRATS MOISES!...

After a VERY long rain delay, 2 hours and 21 minutes to be exact, and picked up 8 unearned runs en route to a 9-6 win over the Marlins.

Pedro was decent tonight. (Wait, Pedro pitched tonight? It was so long ago!) He lasted only 5 innings, giving up 4 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 7 as well. Pedro didn't seem happy with the strike zone, and gave up 3 runs in the first 2 innings. He settled down from there and allowed only one more run to score.

...good, but we're going to need more innings out of him...

And heres the surprise of the night, the bullpen DID NOT blow it!
Guillermo Mota pitched 2 amazing innings in relief, only allowing one baserunner. He gave up one hit, walked none, and struck out 2.

...thoroughly impressed...

Pedro Feliciano still seems off, as he gave up 2 earned run on 1 hit an 2 walks.

...gah! why can't it be easy!...

Joe Smith entered the game, but did not retire a batter, and walked one.
Scott Schoeneweis looked STELLAR, pitching 1.1 innings, striking out the first 3 batters he face, and got a ground out to end the game.

...wow...
...hey! WE WON!...

...the Marlins commited 6 errors in tonights game, which led to 8 unearned runs for the Mets...

First off, a congrats to Moises Alou, who set a New York Mets record with his 25th consective game with a hit. He drove in one run on his single in the top of the 3rd to set the record.

...well done Moises!...

Jose Reyes looked pretty good tonight, going 2-4, with 2 walks, 2 RBI's and 1 run scored.

...please, please, please start hitting...

Luis Castillo picked up one hit, one RBI, and scored twice.
David Wright also picked up a hit and a run scored.
Carlos Beltran, who left the game with a bruised knee, went 1-3, scoring once and driving in 2 runs.

...i'll take that production from the 2-3-4...that's 3 RBI's and 4 runs scored...

Paul Lo Duca had a huge night, going 4-5 and scored once!

...he's getting hot, bum fingers and all...

And in his return to the lineup for the first time in 14 games, Carlos Delgado went 1-5, with a BLAST to deep center field.

...we missed you!...

Game Balls:: Schoe, Mota, Alou, Lo Duca!
