Game Recap:: Nationals 12 -- Mets 4

What a debacle...

Look. They lost again. 12-4. To the Nationals.

The Mets committed 4 more errors tonight and Brian Lawrence could not hold a lead. Lawrence only lasted 3.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 earned runs. He walked only 1 and struck out 3.

...yuck...

Aaron Sele picked up the loss, pitching 1.1 innings, giving up one run.
Scott Schoeneweis pitched only 2/3 of an inning, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, to score.
Jorge Sosa allowed an earned run to score in 2/3 of an inning.
Willie Collazo pitched 1/3 of an inning, and allowed a run to score.
Joe Smith pitched 1.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs to score on a home run.

...disgusting...
...just read all those pitching lines...


Carlos Beltran hit another home run, a 2-run shot in the 1st inning.

...a bright spot...

Moises Alou went 2-4, and brought his hitting streak up to 21 games.

...another...

Shawn Green and Paul Lo Duca each picked up 2 hits, while Green scored once and drove in one RBI on his home run in the 4th inning.

...both have been good as of late...

...seriously...what in the world is going on here...
...team record 10 errors in last 2 games...

...Mets fans everywhere are freaking out...
