Harper Gets MiLB Player Of The Month

The Eastern League announced today that Binghamton Mets designated hitter Brett Harper has been named the league’s August Player of The Month.

No EL player hit more homers and only one drove in more runs in August than Harper, who batted .358 with nine homers and 29 RBI. The Scottsdale, Arizona native hit safely in 22 of 29 games and had 11 multi-hit contests in the month. Harper also had back-to-back multi-homer games August 5th at Reading and August 7th vs. Trenton.
