Wright Sets Odd Met Record

Steve Popper at North Jersey writes about David Wright and the odd stat that he beat out:

Wright hit his 27th homer Saturday, not bad considering he didn't hit one in April. That set a Mets' record, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, for most homers without one in April -- previously held by Darryl Strawberry during his rookie year when he had 26 after being called up in May.
