Bannister Wins Achievement Award From Royals

At the Eyewitness News 12 site they relay the Royals' awards of the year:


Right-hander Brian Bannister was given the Joe Burke Special Achievement award. The awards were voted on by the Kansas City Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America.

Bannister, 26, was 12-9 with a 3.87 ERA in 27 starts after being acquired in a trade with the New York Mets. His ERA was the seventh-best all-time by a Kansas City rookie.
