Frustrated

I'm frustrated. Omar is being really ridiculous. I am stunned how Omar would trade Milledge for a Right Fielder worse than him, and a catcher worse than both the ones we have. This is really against what we need. Not only does this deal not work out, we lose a potential trade prospect for a front end of the rotation guy. I'm too upset to portray my feelings about this right now but you all get the picture. The Estrada trade was such an asset to this team. And now there are rumors they plan on trading him, and that is the reason they got Schneider. This is completely pointless if you ask me. You worsen out hitters and do not help where we need it, relief and starters. Omar I am disappointed in you. And another thing, how to the Red Sox get to choose the deal for Santana and say, oh Ellisbury is untouchable but you can take Crisp instead. We say no Reyes, and the trade talks pretty much have ended? Wow, all I can say is wow. Mets fans, we got a lot of work to do. All I can say is I'm upset, and wish Omar could read what I have to say.

This post descirbes perfectly how I feel. Stunned. This is painful not only bcause we lose Milledge, but because now we have to come to terms with the fact that Omar is not a good GM. And he's not going anywhere. 2006 was an aberration. The truth hurts.

Milledge cannot possibly play worse than Church, who is 29, over the next ten years. Schneider is 31, and cannot hit a lick.

Joe, I totally agree with you. Schneider is much worse at hitting than Estrada. He has defense, be so what. It doesn't help. Estrada and Milledge is better than Church and Schneider. Worst of all, I didn't mention Schneider is under contract for 2 years and is earning 10.3 million in those 2 years. Estrada would only cost 3-4 million for next year, only 1 year!!!! All I know is exactly what you said, Omar might have gotten lucky a few times, but he sure has failed more. They are now lesser in the prospect area to trade away, and gained a few people that aren't needed. Don't get me wrong, Church is ok, at best, but he is a good deal older than Milledge and doesn't have his potential. Schneider is just plain awful. O well, whoever said he has much respect for Schneider has to realize respect doesn't help you win. All honestly, respect is great to have but doesn't help you win.
