Glavin On Reyes's Slide

Don Burke at The Star Ledger writes about Tom Glavine's thoughts on Jose Reyes's slide in production last season:

"I don't know,'' he said. "All of us who play this game, you go through that. You try to put a finger on what happened. ...All I can tell you is, as teammate, Jose was the same. Came to ballpark ready to play. No difference.

"Sometimes the game of baseball has a way of evening things out, humbling you a little bit. Jose went through that. He has the desire to be great player. He's going to learn and, ultimately, (what he went through) is going to make him a better player.''
