Gomez Is A Hot Commodity

Eddie D'Anna at the Staten Island Advance writes about Carlos Gomez and how alot of teams are after the speedy Outfielder:

If there's one thing we can take from the general managers meetings, it's exactly how hot other teams are on speedy New York Mets prospect Carlos Gomez.

The Twins and Nationals are both said to have internally targeted the 21-year-old outfielder with five-tool potential and a knack for adjusting quickly to more experienced competition.

And now comes a report in the Houston Chronicle claiming Astros GM Ed Wade was ambitious enough to insist on landing the kid in any deal that would have sent reliever Brad Lidge to the Metropolitans.
