Lack of Posts From Me

Dear Fans:

Unfortunately, life interferes once again, and I apologize for my lack of posts recently. My dad is in a fight for his life, having recently received a kidney transplant, only to have life-threatening complications that he is still battling. I won't be able to post for a few weeks more, while things hopefully stabilize, and I will be heading out to New York this coming weekend, so John and I will probably get a chance to get some face time and discuss the rest of the off-season. In the meantime, if anything I've written over the past 2 years has entertained you or informed you, please say a prayer for my dad's recovery, as he is the one who guided me into becoming a sports fanatic, particularly a Mets' fanatic, and like I've said, being a Mets' fan always means being able to believe when no one else gives you a chance...it's the bottom of the eighth and we're down by 2, but we're going to rally when everyone else thinks the game is done!

Best,
David Rubin
