Call Me Picasso

Mike Rose at On the Mets Beat writes about pedro's request for a name change:

During his side session today, Pedro Martinez told his coaches, "Don't call me Pedro - call me Picasso."

That's Pedro's style now. He concedes that he's no longer a power pitcher. He's a painter now. While most of the staff already has faced live pitching, Martinez and Johan Santana haven't yet. Martinez needs one more side session, but there's been no determination on Santana.
