I Need Another Beer

Hey, Mike Pelfrey. You just took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and only gave up one run. Guess what? You lose. Now go take a shower and get ready to watch Oliver Perez in his next start walk eight guys, give up five runs in five innings, and still get a win. Here are some things that will happen before the Mets pitch a no-hitter.

1.) A new stadium will be built for the Mets that mimics the classical stylings of historic Shea Stadium.

2.) When asked what he is most proud of during his career, Scott Kazmir responds during his Hall of Fame induction speech, “ It would have to be the no-hitter I threw against the Mets to clinch the 2015 World Series. That one was a bit more special than the other four no-hitters I threw”.

3.) Florida Marlins win several more titles.

4.) When asked what the best moment of his career was, Carlos Gomez responds during his Hall of Fame induction speech, “Probably when I hit for the cycle against the Mets to clinch the 2016 World Series. Didn’t Philip Humber pitch a no-hitter in that game? That was cool too”.

The things mentioned above are ridiculous of course. The Mets will never make it to the World Series twice in a row. Let’s Go Mets!
