Floyd update

At Rotoworld, they write about Cliff Floyd:

The A's are likely to keep the door open for free agent Cliff Floyd even if they sign Mike Piazza.

Unlike Piazza, Floyd won't be a candidate for a multiyear deal. The A's would likely play him in left field against right-handers and let him DH on those rare occasions in which Piazza is used as a catcher. Should Floyd decide Oakland isn't the place for him, he could land with either the Cubs or Orioles.
