Oliver to sign with Angels

According to major league sources, free-agent reliever Darren Oliver has reached preliminary agreement with the Los Angeles Angels on a one-year contract with an option for 2008.

Well there goes our long relief man. Time to step up "insert Mets pitching prospect here".
