Omar won't give up Pelfrey or Humber

Steve Popper at MSG Network, writes about Omar Minaya and his refusing to giv up Mike Pelfrey or Phillip Humber for Javier Vazquez:

The Mets are intrigued by them - particularly Jon Garland. Omar Minaya likes Javier Vazquez. But the White Sox want young stars back - and young star arms in particular. The Mets, according to one official, aren't about to do that, refusing to surrender Mike Pelfrey or Phil Humber in one of those deals.

"If I'm going to trade some of my young guys I need to be able to get guys that I'm going to control," Minaya added. "I don't think we're going to trade our better young players for guys for one year and that we don't control."
