Chavez in the Winter League

Eric Justice at Mets.com, writes about Endy Chavez and how well he's doing in the Winter League:

Endy Chavez is used to making highlight-reel plays during the postseason, so his performance in the Venezuelan Winter League playoffs has come as no surprise.

The 28-year-old outfielder stole the show in the 2006 National League Championship Series with a memorable over-the-fence catch for the Mets in Game 7 against the eventual World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals.

Chavez is showing off his bat in Venezuela, ranking fourth in the league with a .380 batting average and fifth with a .560 slugging percentage. He's also scored 10 runs for the Navegantes del Magallanes, who boast the best record in the playoffs at 11-2.
