Minor League Tracker: Ben Johnson To The DL

Ed Ryan at Mets Fever (Shea Nation Network), writes about Ben Johnson:

Adam Rubin reports that Ben Johnson was injured in a game against Memphis and was placed on the DL. If there were a need for an outfielder in the next week, it would have to be Carlos Gomez. Milledge is not available until the 23rd (10 days). Hopefully, Johnson will be back soon as Rubin reports on just how good New Orleans outfield is:

With Gomez in center, flanked by Lastings Milledge and Ben Johnson, the Mets have perhaps Triple-A’s best outfield. However, Johnson injured his throwing shoulder diving for a ball in Memphis on Thursday and was placed on the DL with a sprained shoulder that figures to sideline him for a few weeks. source Adam Rubin
