Tonight's Match up

Tonight the (7-4) Mets take on the (3-8) Phillies at Citizens Bank Park ( little league field). Here's a little bit on tonight's starters:

John Maine (1-0 1.54)

Maine wasn't nearly as sharp in his second start of the season as he was in his first, battling through a frigid afternoon in New York's home opener on Monday. The young right-hander allowed two runs in a brief 4 2/3-inning stint -- not terrible, considering he also walked six batters. He has a 3-0 career record and 2.35 career ERA against the Phillies.

Freddy Garcia (0-0 0.00)

Garcia makes his long-awaited Phillies debut. The right-hander had a delayed start to his regular season because of soreness in his right biceps. In his only career start against the Mets, Garcia allowed one run on six hits in a complete-game victory, striking out seven.
