Tonight's Pitching Match Up

Tonight at 7:00PM (Shea Stadium), the 10-4 Mets take on the 10-5 Braves for NL East supremacy. Here's a look at tonight's pitching matchup:

Mike Pelfrey (0-0, 3.18ERA)

Pelfrey made his 2007 debut and his fifth big-league start against the Nationals Friday night in the chill of Shea Stadium. The results were mixed -- six hits, four walks and too many pitches, 97, in 5 1/3 innings. Two runs scored before he was removed with two runners on base. His damage control, enhanced by three double plays, was quite acceptable, though.

Tim Hudson (2-0 0.86ERA)

The right-handed Hudson has been dominant through his first three starts. Manager Bobby Cox called his stuff "dynamite" earlier this week, saying Hudson's been spectacular so far. Cox said the righty made some changes from last year, when he went 13-12, and everything has paid off nicely so far this season.
