Player Update: Paul Lo Duca

"His elbow stiffened up," said Mets manager Willie Randolph. "He got a pretty good shot on there, so I took him out because he wouldn't have been swinging the bat like he wanted to."

Wang's first pitch to Lo Duca tailed right into batter's box, with nowhere for the catcher to hide. He walked halfway down the first-base line in pain, before stopping and conferring with Mets trainers for several moments.
