Valentin Opens His Mouth About Franco
Jose Valentin said some interesting words about Julio Franco, who was signed by the Atlanta Braves after being released by the Mets a week ago.
Here is what he said:
“To be a leader for me, it’s not enough to talk all the time,” Jose Valentin said. “You have to go out and do it yourself.”

Although I don't think Jose Valentin should be talking with his .240 average and potential lost job to Ruben Gotay, I am glad somebody mentioned that just because Franco is almost 49 and is a "leader" of the team with his his sub-.200 average doesn't mean the Mets need to keep him.
The Braves can have him.
